Hale Maluhia Country Inn (house of peace) includes five bed rooms with private baths. And two rather special cottages: A virtual tree house: Banyan Cottage with Jacuzzi and a Japanese Tea House with ofuro on a near acre of tropical lush vegetation with big old trees in the Kona Coffee Country. The Inn includes a Library with an extensive DVD free movie library, guest computer, Wi-Fi and an extensive Christian library. The Music Room is rather formal and includes a grand piano and other musical instruments which is our basic common area. We are also working towards becoming green, getting off the grid and putting in aquaponics gardens, rabbits and chickens for good eggs if interested in such Prepper things. Wood shop also available.
If you like simple down home comfortable, you will love Hale Maluhia.

The Inn is located in the heart of one of the worlds best climates at a 940 foot elevation in the Holualoa Kona Coffee Country fruit belt. Yet the Inn is only minutes to the beaches, shops and fine dining. Only 3 miles to both the historical village of Kailua Kona and the art community of Holualoa if interested in Hawaiian Art. Also we have art supplies and paints with a portable and professional easel, if you feel the urge you can take an oil painting of Kona, home with you.

Kona is a very special Pacific recreational paradise with world class beaches, historical sites, world class fishing and, of course, the Volcano. Kailua-Kona was the place of choice for the Alii (King and Queens) of old Hawai'i to live on the sunny side of the Big Island of Hawaii.

Guests Notes:
Good morning, My wife & I visited Hawaii during the first week of May and staying at your B&B was one of the special treats of our vacation. You have a fantastic location and we are happy that we found your place. We were blessed to be able to spend some time on your deck, with your staff (including the music), and the birds. Great coffee and food also! Mahalo,

"Fantastic country inn experience"

For the price, this is an unbeatable Hawaii country bed and breakfast experience. It is located on a beautiful, winding mountain road only a 10 minute drive from the beach and downtown Kona and a 20 minute drive from the airport. The room was very clean and neat. The atmosphere was incredible and the overall stay was very satisfactory. Chickens and turkeys roam the property and you are lulled to sleep by the gentle sound of mountain wind and Hawaiian wildlife. The do-it-yourself breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly/accommodating. Definitely recommended to travelers working on a budget and seeking a rustic, beautiful, serene Hawaiian experience. stayed: May/2014, J. Ryan
